This Privacy Notice explains how the University of Luxembourg processes personal data in the context of the “Math day workshop”. The University of Luxembourg is a public higher education and research
establishment, operating under the supervision of the Ministry for higher education.  Further information on data protection is provided on https://wwwen.uni.lu/university/data_protection.

We will use your personal data to:

  • process your registration;
  • provide you with information regarding the Math Day including scheduling and logistics;
  • provide you with other information that we believe may be of interest;
  • put some of the participants in contact with the mathematical teachers responsible of the

Mathematical Olympiads for Luxembourg (few selected pupils will have the possibility to participate in further trainings). This is subject to approval by the legal representative of the Minor/ the participant.
Your/ the Minor’s personal data will only be used for the purposes explained above and will not be shared with any other parties.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent for the processing of personal data at any time by sending an email to antonella.perucca@uni.lu.
The personal data you provided will be held in our database for a duration of 2 years. It can be used to keep you up‐to‐date with mathematical outreach activities organized by the University of Luxembourg (UL). The UL implements measures to process legally, securely and in a confidential manner your personal data. You have a right to access, rectify, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to object or erase your/ the Minor’s personal data where the conditions of the GDPR are met. You can exercise your rights by sending an email to antonella.perucca@uni.lu and/or the Data Protection Officer of the University of Luxembourg at dpo@uni.lu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Commission for Data Protection (hereinafter “CNPD”, website: https://cnpd.public.lu/fr.html) if you consider that the processing of your/ the Minor’s personal data constitutes a violation of the GDPR.
As you are basing the processing on consent, you will need the person/ the legal representative to tick a box consenting the processing.
