PPA

 

Dear participant,

thank you for your interest in this study.

This study is conducted by FINATRAX group at SnT, University of Luxembourg. By participating in our survey, you support our research project on PPAs, where we want to demystify the main barriers to wider PPA uptake and discuss potential new PPA marketplace solutions. It takes a maximum of 10 minutes to complete the survey. There are three main sections within the survey. The first section is about your relationship with PPAs, the second is about the barriers you perceive to implement PPAs, and the third is about your experience with PPA platforms. As a reward for your voluntary participation, we will make our aggregated results publicly available on the sites where we advertised the survey so you can see what PPA general public views on the topic at hand.

There are no right or wrong answers, we are only interested in your true and honest perspective. To ensure that the results of our study are meaningful, we would ask you to answer the survey completely and seriously. Participation in the survey is voluntary and open to anybody aged 18 and over. You can terminate the survey any time without stating reasons. All data will be kept strictly confidential and strictly used for academic purposes.

INTRODUCTION

  1. WHY DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We need certain personal data to answer our research questions as part of the project. This is because we want to find out what influence demographic variables such as age have on the perception of incentives.  However, the data is collected anonymously and it is not possible to draw any conclusions about your person. In addition, the data is treated strictly confidentially.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is laid down in:

Article 6 GDPR: the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes; the person has given his or her consent by participating to this survey.

The Personal Data provided by you are kept for a duration of three years. The data will be used for the evaluation of this study and will serve as a basis for the planning of a further study. After the three years, the data will be deleted.

Any request shall be processed by the University of Luxembourg without undue delay, and where feasible no later than one (1) month after its receipt, at least in order to inform you about the status of your request. This period may be extended for two (2) additional months for complex cases or due to a high volume of requests.

If you consider that the Processing of Personal Data relating to you infringes the GDPR, you will have the right – without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy – to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.

  1. APPLICABLE LAW – JURISDICTION

The present Notice shall be governed and construed in accordance with the Luxembourgish law.

Any dispute concerning the existence, interpretation or performance of this Notice which cannot be settle amicably, shall fall within the jurisdiction of the Courts of Luxembourg City, without prejudice to the rights of the Data Subjects to bring the matters before the court where he or she has her place of residence as well as its right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
