Welcome to the Food Policy Council Survey!

In this survey, we want to find out what you know about Food Policy Councils and your hopes and expectations for such a council on a national scale in Luxembourg.

What is a Food Policy Council?

Food Policy Councils are specially designed bodies that bring together diverse actors that represent the various parts of the food system, including citizens. In a cooperative process between actors treated with equity, the Food Policy Council analyses the prevailing food system. It develops a comprehensive and sustainable strategy for its transition towards more diversification and more ethics. Based on a participatory approach, Food Policy Councils unite State action with market initiatives and innovations from civil society and research. The transition aspired to follows the ideal of food sovereignty. Food Policy Councils work autonomously, initiate specific projects to tackle a systemic food system transition, and, via that engagement, put into action food democracy.

The Food Policy Council survey

This survey was designed by the Sustainable Food Practices team at the University of Luxembourg, and in partnership with CELL (Centre for Ecological Learning Luxembourg, The Transition Hub). Your responses will be anonymised in the analysis of the survey, as well as in potential publications of the survey results.
