Doctoral Students' Association in Luxembourg (DSAiL) is a non profit organization recognized by the university of Luxembourg that aims amongst other objectives (see dsail.uni.lu) to connect doctoral candidates to job opportunities within and outside the academia by leveraging collaborations with organs such as Euraxess, the University career centre, mentorship schemes and of course, our spotlight programme.
Using this spotlight scheme, we want to highlight the faces behind doctoral research in Luxembourg, inspire potential PhDs to make that move towards a rewarding journey and most importantly, demystify the age long narrative that PhD students do not have other interests other than research. We also hope that through this initiative, potential employers are offered a window to see the spectrum of skills and interests embodied by doctoral candidates.
